GAMING & GAMING ADDICTION

When “just one more game” rules the house.

Worried about gaming addiction or gaming that comes at the expense of daily life? We discuss what the game means and the room that school, sleep and relationships need.

Familiar examples: together we explore what is going on in your family.

YOUR CHILD’S PERSPECTIVE

“This is what it
means to me.”

  • I love competition and getting better at something.
  • I think strategically and solve difficult problems.
  • I can build, design and be creative.
  • My friends and teammates are here too.
  • I find relaxation, challenge and a place where I count.

THE PARENT’S PERSPECTIVE

“This is what
worries me.”

  • I see homework and agreements being left undone.
  • I’m worried about sleep and daily routine.
  • Stopping often leads to anger or arguments.
  • Other activities and contact at home fade into the background.
  • I want my child to take responsibility outside the game.

MY ROLE AS CONVERSATION GUIDE

Understanding what the game offers. Making room for the rest.

We look at what gaming gives your child and what gets squeezed in daily life. The conversation is about concrete consequences, not just the number of hours. Together we look for ways to give challenge, creativity and contact a place alongside other responsibilities.

From understanding to agreements.

Agreements can cover sleep, schoolwork, playing times, finishing a team match and how you review whether the balance works without a daily fight.

I speak with you first, then with your child. In the third conversation we bring both stories together. We put into words what each of you needs and which agreements fit.
