HOW EIGEN KOERS WORKS
Three conversations.
Room for everyone.
Personal mediation for parent and child with crypto and gambling problems, gaming addiction and extremism.
My role is to mediate: I help you understand what your child is trying to say, and help your child understand what lies behind your concerns. We work towards agreements in which both sides feel heard.
BEFORE WE START
First, a no-obligation introduction.
In a free, no-obligation introductory meeting we explore what’s going on and what you want to achieve. After that I look into your situation and research the topics involved. Then we schedule the first conversation with you.
- 01
The parent first
What do you see happening? What are you worried about? We discuss concrete situations, earlier attempts and what you need to regain trust.
- 02
Then your child
What attracts your child to crypto, certain ideas or gaming? We explore interests, values, choices and consequences. We agree beforehand what will be shared in the joint conversation.
- 03
Then together
Both stories come to the table. I help with listening, asking follow-up questions and clearing up misunderstandings. We make concrete agreements and decide how you will review them at home.
Taking part requires willingness from both parent and child. Together we work on mutual understanding and agreements that work at home.
What kind of guidance is this?
Eigen Koers offers educational guidance and conversations between parent and child. I don’t make diagnoses and I don’t offer addiction treatment.
A first step
The first conversation takes place at Hotel Zoku Amsterdam, Weesperstraat 105, 1018 VN Amsterdam.
Zoku has a bright, homely meeting space on the sixth floor, with plants and a view over the city. An informal setting to get acquainted, about a five-minute walk from Weesperplein metro station.
